The Deck is a reproduction of the 15th century Italian tarot, the Visconti Sforza. The borders of the 78 cards have been highlighted in a matte gold, and a hardback companion book is included in the set. 78 cards recreated from the images of the cards from the 1451 set commissioned by and depicting members of the Visconti and Sforza families, and with borders adorned with gold metallic ink. This edition includes a 176 page book describing the history of the deck, as well as providing instructions for its use. Some images are printed a bit crooked on the card stock, but this is a deliberate artifact from the antique originals.
